High Peak Marathon

When is a marathon not a marathon? Answer: when it's a 40+ mile bog trot around the Derwent watershed in the Peak District, at night, usually in foul weather. An open edition print inspired by completing the H.P.M. myself as a team of four on a few memorable nights out. The main abstract in the piece is inspired by memories of the mid section of the open moorland route. Four head torches navigating the peat groughs in the dark with occasional red lights of vehicles pin-spotted way off in the distance.
